#ESG is not only the responsible attitude corporations of all sizes and shapes should take, and are increasingly expected to by their customers, partners and investors, it is also a real competitive advantage on the global marketplace.
Just like markets, supply chains partners and investors, the Gouvernement du Canada expects all Canadian companies, including #SMEs, the engine of our economy, to work in a socially and environmentally responsible manner.
Indeed, #RBC is at the nexus of many priorities for Canada such as the respect for #humanrights, taking action on #climatechange, #inclusivetrade, upholding the rights of #Indigenouspeoples, amplifying our #feministforeignpolicy, and eradicate forced labour in Canadian supply chains.
Thanks to aicep Portugal Global, Fondation Calouste Gulbenkian United Nations Global Compact and others for putting together this important event : International Conference : ESG strategies for exporting SMEs.
Will be happy to personally continue on this theme throughout the week, with Canadian participation to another event, this time focusing on the #DueDiligence aspect of #Corporate #Sustainability, again hosted by Fondation Calouste Gulbenkian and Nova School of Business and Economics and NOVA School of Law.
